I spent all afternoon y-day with Josiah in ER. The first three hours will pretty slow. He just laid there like a dead boy. But, after two hours of IV we were bonding and reading. And, after another hour of IV he was ready to come home... me too!
He did not have a fever when I took him in. So, the doctor was pretty concerned that the vomiting could be related to his head injury Friday. We decided to do an IV in hopes that he would regain his health and strength. He did. So, we did NOT do a CT scan and at 8:15 I brought a very sleepy boy home. (In the time we were there he did develop a fever and the doctor nearly danced for joy. She was tormented over whether or not to do a CT scan.)
Poor Baby Jeremiah went without mama for 5-6 hours. He did very well!
Today Josiah has slept all day. He woke up with a fever. But, by noon he had cooled off. He slept on the couch all morning. And, he was able to eat (and keep down) a half a banana at lunch. Hopefully he is on the mend.
