Friends, I am very sick. I have been to the doctor (ER, actually) and we have ruled out appendicitis, gall bladder troubles and about every other abdominal organ. It appears as though I have a bacterial infection (or a parasite) in my "gut." I am working with my naturopath to try some homeopathic remedies.
Please, please pray for me and my family. I am strong enough to sit and type. But, I cannot do ANY work. (I can barely stay out of the bathroom.)

Oh me Bethany-I went through that in January and was in the hospital for three days. Terrible pain. I am so sorry. I was finally diagnosed with Colitis and was given IV antibotics. Please take care of yourself and I will pray. so sorry.
Were the medical staff aware that you have been juicing for at least the last month?
Did you by chance have your blood sugars and kidney function tested?
My parents insurance man went on a juicing diet, he almost died after a month, it turned out that he was probably sort of borderline diabetic before the diet started, and not aware of this at all, after several weeks he became very, very ill. He fortunately went to the doctor in time and although it took a while to recover, he was told that he had almost gone into renal failure.
I feel like a total Debbie Downer here, but when I read your post it alarmed me so and I immediately thought of Dan, (my parents insurance agent). This happened a year ago, Dan was 45 at the time.

We can rule out colitis for me, because my colon looked great. Whew! I did not have to stay overnight, thank God!

Thank you for your concern. I am VERY sorry to have alarmed you and make you think that I could be dying. let me assure you that 1) my liver and kidneys look great. And, 2) I was not juice fasting before this happened. I do drink 1-2 juices a day, but that is far from being juice only. I would not do a juice fast while nursing baby - except the modified "fast" that I am doing now because I cannot eat solids. And, for what its worth, I feel better when I juice more... I just cannot afford the produce. :0)
My doctors (both the naturopath and my primary care physician) are aware of my dietary changes and are pleased with them.
I hope this puts you at ease. I should know tomorrow or Friday which bacteria I am dealing with. They did a stool sample a few days ago.

Glad to hear it, Dan became so ill, and his appearance quite shocking, and when I immediately thought of him as I read your post.
